About the Role

As a Backend Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining robust, scalable solutions that directly impact the success of both the company and its clients. You’ll join an agile team where ownership, innovation, and collaboration drive progress.

What You’ll Do

• Actively contribute to daily Scrum team tasks while owning technical challenges end-to-end.
• Design and implement reliable APIs for internal and external clients. Programming in Groovy.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and QA teams to align on roadmap goals.
• Partner with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions.
• Stay ahead of industry trends to propose new features, products, or improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java or Groovy 
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Git-based workflows.
• Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or equivalent.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a “get-it-done” attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive independently and in teams.
• Curiosity to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus skills:

• Familiarity with Grails, Docker/Kubernetes, MariaDB, GitLab, Python, Angular/TypeScript, Jira, Kafka, or Ubuntu.
