About the company
Our client develops and delivers advanced electronic control systems for the global automotive industry. With customers across Europe, India and the UK, they combine deep engineering expertise with long-term customer partnerships, from concept and prototyping to certification and mass production.
They are now looking for an experienced and passionate Hardware Engineer to join their R&D team in Enebyberg, Danderyd.
About the role
You’ll take part in the full hardware development cycle - from requirement analysis and component selection to PCB design, testing, and product certification. Projects typically involve embedded control units (ECUs), motor control, and sensor integration.
You’ll collaborate closely with embedded software and test engineers, working hands-on in the lab and directly with customers. Expect a mix of creative engineering, system thinking, and practical implementation.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop hardware for embedded control systems
 - Create schematics and PCB layouts (Altium or similar)
 - Perform circuit simulations and validation (SPICE, EMC/EMI testing)
 - Participate in system architecture discussions and design reviews
 - Work directly with customers and suppliers throughout the development process

We’re looking for someone who
- Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering
 - Brings solid experience in embedded hardware design, analog and digital electronics, and power circuits
 - Understands the full lifecycle of product development — from concept to field use
 - Is hands-on, curious, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges
 - Communicates well in English and thrives in a collaborative environment
 
Bonus if you have:
- Experience from automotive, marine, or industrial control systems
 - Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) or EMC/EMI standards
 - Familiarity with low-level software and HW/SW integration
